It is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all.
The world feels desperate for love. Maybe you feel it too—a longing for connection, a hunger for real relationships that heal instead of hurt. The Power of Love isn’t just a phrase. It’s the foundation for a life that truly flourishes, and the good news is: you don’t need to be perfect to experience it.

1. The World Needs Love—But Where Do We Find It?

As missionaries, our family saw that even in the hardest places, people crave love just as much as those surrounded by comfort. Some of the happiest people we met were the poorest by material standards, but they lived with a richness of relationship and faith that outshone anything money could buy.

Our culture often tries to fill the void with things—busyness, entertainment, buying more—but love keeps slipping through our fingers. What we’re really looking for is something deeper: the transforming love of God, poured into our hearts and shared with others.

2. Be Fruitful and Multiply—The Heart of God

From the beginning, God commanded His people to be fruitful and multiply. That command was about more than having children; it was a call to multiply love and spiritual life. In Jesus’ last command, He called us to make disciples—to share the love and truth we’ve received so others can grow and multiply too.

Real joy comes when you move from just adding to your life to multiplying the blessings God has given you. Don’t just keep score; live as a giver, not a taker. Let the love you receive from God flow through you to others.

3. The Sea of Galilee vs. The Dead Sea

There’s a reason why some lives overflow with hope and blessing, while others feel stagnant. Picture Israel’s two famous seas:

  • The Sea of Galilee teems with life because it both receives and gives.

  • The Dead Sea receives but never gives—and nothing grows there.

Your soul was made to receive God’s love and give it away. When you share what God has given, you bring life to your family, friends, and community. If you keep it for yourself, your soul can dry up. The power of love is in giving, not hoarding.

4. Protecting and Multiplying Love

It’s easy to feel alone in your faith journey, but God’s plan was never for you to walk alone. Like a shepherd who learns he can’t protect all his sheep by himself, we need others to walk with us, pray with us, and share in the work of loving and protecting the flock.

When believers gather in small groups to practice Powerful Worship—worship, pray, study, and apply God’s Word—they build a network of love and protection that the enemy cannot easily penetrate. In this way, love not only multiplies but strengthens everyone involved.

5. Real Stories, Real Impact

Multiplying love isn’t just a concept; it’s a lifestyle. Whether it’s a couple who gives up their wedding rings to help others, or friends who start a Powerful Worship group in their home, these small acts create a ripple effect that changes lives.

The secret isn’t in doing something big and impressive—it’s in faithfully practicing simple habits of love and inviting others to do the same.

Transformational Takeaway

You don’t have to wait for a perfect moment to start. Begin with the simple things: pray with someone, share a meal, offer encouragement, or lead a small group. As you do, watch how love multiplies and how God brings healing and hope where it’s needed most.

Be like the Sea of Galilee. Let the power of love flow through you. Multiply it, and watch the world around you change.
